The IS-3 Heavy Tank was a heavy tank introduced by the Soviet Union in the last days of World War Two. Because of its inovative design it was nicknamed Shchuka, which roughly means " Pike"
Description[]
The tank featured a piked nose hull and a hemispherical shaped cast turret, which later became a hallmark for the soviet tanks. This new turret provided better protection and a lower profile, but it also drastically reduced the space inside, limiting the gun depression to -3 degrees and providing very little space for the crew, especially affected being the loader.
It sported the same main gun as the IS-2, the 122mm D25T cannon.
