The T17 Armored Car, also known as the Staghound Mk. I was an armored car that was used by Great Britain and the Commonwealth during World War II.

Description[]

The T17 "Staghound" had a GMC 270 Engine that was capable of propelling it at speeds of up to 89 km/h and a crew that consisted of five men. The T17 had a total weight of 13,700 kilograms and a total length of 5.4 meters. Its armament consisted of a single M6 37 mm main gun and a secondary coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun and another 7.62 mm machine gun mounted in the hull, with an optional 7.62 mm machine gun on top of the turret.

Although the car was initially produced by the United States, it was not used by American forces and was instead given to Great Britain until the British had began their own production of the vehicle as the Staghound Mk. I.
